Tailored Tutors has helped me not only with content and exam technique, but also with linking topic ideas together. From participating in live classes, I have seen how topics are intertwined, and the different ways content will be presented—this is something I definitely wouldn’t have learnt in school. TT has also helped me be more reflective on my work and exams—I’m learning to pick up on where I went wrong and how I can fix it (eg. with the Marks I Dropped sheet and the Progress Tracker). I am also learning how I revise and learn best, and ways in which I can use this to my advantage. Now I have some clarity on what I know, what I need to know, and how to go about it 😀

I used to get E’s in my topic tests. I used to have a centre tutor, they would go through the content and then give me some exam questions and set me some homework. I found no improvement in my grades. The centre tutor was ineffective because they would sometimes go too fast (or too slow) which would hinder my understanding of the topic, I was sometimes scared to ask questions in front of the other four or five other people getting tutoring, and I had to go in at specific times when I often felt unproductive. With Tailored Tutors, I can speed up videos as much as I want, or slow down and watch them over and over, I can ask questions at my own pace (and ask many as I want without the fear of being judged), and it’s all accessible at home—you could do it at any time of day, any day of the week, 24/7, with no set time required. It was no hesitation to switch—I’m very happy with my choice.

It’s blatantly clear by the quality and effort that goes into the videos that they are indeed very thorough and extensive. I love the fact that the tutors are so well versed in their specialty—they address questions that could come up in the exam whilst explaining the topic and it is very helpful! You can also ask questions specific to you, and are given a reply quite quick, and there’s also curated exam papers for your exam board, so no time is wasted doing questions you’re not required to know anymore.

I can find all the information I need in the TT courses. All of their videos are very neatly organised and they’re good quality. Plus, you are able to ask questions directly to the tutors, which is great as I don’t have a teacher for Chemistry.

Honestly don’t know how I would’ve handled A-Levels without this service.

This is the by far the best A Level resource I have come across that actually boosts your grades up quickly, definitely recommend this to any A Level student doing sciences.

I especially like how all the tutors of Tailored Tutors are expert teachers who go through the concepts and write down their thoughts, giving key tips on phrases and what to write down in exams in order to maximise marks – these extra tips aren’t on any other revision websites, yet have helped me improve my marks in papers! Being a visual and audio learner, the walk throughs of key concepts have been very helpful and the way they have helped me understand difficult concepts have been different to other revision resources, and also very methodical, therefore helping me remember them! I also really appreciate the variety of resources they have available, all with no waffle – it has helped me not waste my revision time!
